This page outlines the nature of Home Headquarters, how we handle donated data, and other important information for players and contributors.

Non-Commercial Preservation Project

Home Headquarters (HHQ) is a fan-run, non-profit preservation project dedicated to keeping PlayStation Home accessible after Sony Interactive Entertainment shut down the service on March 31, 2015. We do not charge players to access the server, we do not sell virtual goods or services, and no individual or group associated with HHQ profits financially from this project in any way.

Our sole purpose is to preserve a piece of gaming history for the community that loved it. PlayStation Home, its assets, and all related intellectual property remain the property of Sony Interactive Entertainment. HHQ makes no claim of ownership over any Sony-owned content.

Use of PlayStation Home Assets

The spaces, clothing, minigames, and other content available on the HHQ server were obtained exclusively through cache data donated by the community — files that players originally downloaded directly from Sony's own servers during the lifetime of PlayStation Home. No assets have been created or sold commercially by HHQ.

This project operates in the spirit of video game preservation, similar to efforts recognised and supported by institutions such as the Video Game History Foundation. We believe preserving PlayStation Home serves the public interest and causes no commercial harm to Sony Interactive Entertainment, as the service has been permanently discontinued for over nine years.

Cache Data Donations

Players who played PlayStation Home before its closure on March 31, 2015 may have original cache data stored on their PlayStation 3. HHQ invites community members to donate this data to aid preservation efforts. The following applies to all cache donations:

No personal data is contained in cache files. Cache data consists solely of game content downloaded from Sony's servers — spaces, clothing items, minigames, and similar assets. It does not include usernames, PSN account information, saved game data, purchase history, or any other personal information. This is by design: PlayStation Home's cache was structured to be shareable between multiple users on the same console.

By donating cache data to HHQ, you confirm that the data originates from original PlayStation Home (prior to March 31, 2015) and not from any third-party revival server. Donated data is used solely for the purpose of restoring and preserving PlayStation Home content. It is not sold, licensed, or shared with any third party for commercial purposes.

A public archive of donated cache data is maintained at the PSHome Cache Depot on GitHub. By donating, you acknowledge that your contribution will be added to this publicly accessible archive.

If you have questions about cache data, visit our Cache page or ask in our Discord server.

No Warranty & Server Availability

HHQ is run entirely by volunteers in their spare time. We make no guarantee of continuous uptime, feature availability, or long-term operation of the server or website. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no warranties of any kind.

Third-Party Software

The HHQ PlayStation Home server is powered by MultiServer3, an open-source project developed by Agentdark447. Space and object editing is facilitated by Nautilus, developed by Devil303. HHQ does not claim ownership of these tools.

Contact & Takedown Requests

If you are a rights holder and believe content hosted by HHQ infringes upon your intellectual property, please reach out to us via our Discord server. We take such requests seriously and will respond promptly. As a preservation project with no commercial interest, we aim to work cooperatively with rights holders wherever possible.
