Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions, check here to see if they are already answered. If not, feel free to ask them on our Discord server.
Will all of my purchased items, such as clothing and apartments, appear on your server?
Yes, if you are on PlayStation 3 and play on the same PlayStation Network (PSN) account as the one you used to purchase the items, your previously purchased items will appear in-game. Initially, they may appear in storage, so be sure to check there first.
However, reward items were saved only on the original PlayStation Home server where they were earned, so you will not have your rewards from the original PlayStation Home.
Do the in-game stores still work?
If you're on PlayStation 3 with a US account, a few stores are still active, although the overwhelming majority of items worldwide have been removed. For example, half of the apartments in the Estates store are still available, and everything in the FREE item giveaway on the navigator remains accessible. Prices for available items are unchanged.
For PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts set in Europe, Japan, or Asia, all store items have been removed, resulting in an error code in the price tag box.
If you play on PC, all items display an error in the price tag box as well.
Can I add items to my account?
Yes. Follow this YouTube video tutorial to learn how:
Is there a way to see who's currently playing?
Yes. You can see how many players are online, the spaces they're in, and even their usernames on the players online page.
Can PlayStation 3 players and PC players play together?
Yes. You can interact, chat, and play minigames together in-game. However, cross-platform friend additions (PC players adding PlayStation players as friends and vice versa) do not work. You can only add friends on the same platform as you.
Can I play PlayStation Home on my PlayStation 3 with custom firmware or HEN/HFW?
Yes.
Is there a ban risk on PlayStation 3?
While there's always some risk associated with modding, the risk here is extremely low.
Considering it's 2025, on a system that the manufacturer is no longer interested in, running a game they shut down over nine years ago and have completely abandoned, the risk is minimal. Additionally, none of us profit from this endeavor.
If it makes you feel safer, you can always revert to official firmware (OFW) after installing the .PKG file needed to play.
Is there a way I can help out Home Headquarters?
Yes. The best way to help is by donating your PlayStation Home cache data to us and spreading the word about Home Headquarters to others, hoping to acquire more cache data.
Visit the cache page to learn how to extract and donate your cache data if you have any.
